News for the Parents of Saint Andrew Catholic School
OCTOBER 11, 2016
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
F rom the Principal

Dear Families,
It was wonderful to see so many of you at the Fall Festival. I think this might have been my 25th Fall Festival. They've come a long way since the 80s when the whole Festival took place on the blacktop courtyard! It's amazing to me how this place can transform so quickly into a carnival ground and then back to business-as-usual. It takes a small army to pull off the Fall Festival. All of our booth chairs, led by Alison Coffey, Ashley Summerville and Molly Taylor, executed an amazing event. One of the many hallmarks of Catholic education is the partnership with parents. Schools like ours are only successful because of the generosity of our parents, grandparents and parishioners. Thanks to all our volunteers. You are all appreciated!

Only By His Grace,
Veronica Tucker

BOOK FAIR
Book Fair News

Thank you to all the students, parents, and grandparents who purchased books during our Scholastic Book Fair. This was the most successful 8th Grade Book Fair to date. The 8th Grade class earned $3,865.36 from sales. In addition, 146 books were donated to classrooms, and the Scholastic Customer Rewards program will enable us to add approximately $1,400.00 worth of books to the school library shelves. We appreciate your generous support.

A special thank you to Melissa Quevedo and her committee for coordinating volunteers and chairing this event. A big thank you to Amanda Sanchez for making the Teacher Wish List Board. Thanks to all the 8th Grade students who worked shifts during the Book Fair and to Mr. Kincannon for scheduling student work times. A huge thank you goes out to the many people whovolunteered their time to work a shift (or two or three) d uring the fair. We could not do it without you!
