News for the Parents of Saint Andrew Catholic School

Dear Families,
Happy Halloween! I pray that each of you enjoys a safe and fun evening with your families tonight as we close out this very busy month of October.
Tomorrow, we commemorate the Solemnity of All Saints, a Holy Day of Obligation first observed in the early 4th century. This Holy Day is always inspiring to me as we remember all the holy men and women who have gone before us and are now in heaven. As Catholics, we honor those saints recognized by the church as well as those who are not. Remembering this should fill us all with hope. Each of these saints walked the earth just as we do. Like us, they were marked by the cross at baptism and strived to live out the teachings of Christ. We remind our students that we are also called to be saints. Mrs. Baker, one of our 8th grade teachers, welcomes her students daily with the greeting, "Good morning, Saints!". I think I might even try that with my own Saints-in-the-Making at home. What an awesome goal for each of us!
Dear God, thank you for the example of the Saints.
We desire to join in their company, worshiping you forever in Heaven.
Please help us follow their footsteps, and yours, Jesus Christ.
Please help us to conform ourselves to Your image, seeking Your will in all things, as the Saints did.
Please help us to devote ourselves, and all that we do, to Your glory, and to the service of our neighbors.
Amen.
Only By His Grace,
Veronica Tucker

Each year during the month of November, the Church offers us the opportunity to remember in a special way our deceased relatives and friends.
Saint Andrew Catholic School faculty & students would like to offer prayers for the deceased loved ones of our alumni, benefactors, friends and family members. We have opened an
online form for you to indicate the names of your beloved deceased. Your loved ones will remembered at Saint Andrew Catholic School Masses, during weekly adoration throughout the month of November and during morning prayers.
