News for the Parents of Saint Andrew Catholic School
May 29, 2018
Dear Families,

Congratulations, parents! Your students have completed another academic year. Their success is linked to their efforts, your dedication and the hard work of their teachers. It is not easy. Saint Andrew is a challenging and academically-rigorous school with high expectations. You should applaud your students for their amazing efforts and growth. I am so very proud of them --- and I know you are too! Hard work must be rewarded. My prayer for each of you is that you enjoy the summer months. Have fun. Play and travel as a family. Continue to pray. Ask your students to teach you the prayers learned this year in the hopes they can continue to be incorporated into your summer days as they have been during our school days. I have prayed for each of your children - and you - every morning. I will continue to do so. It has been an honor to serve as your principal for the past two years and to serve the Diocese of Fort Worth for twelve years. May God bless each and every one of you.

Only by His Grace,
Veronica D. Tucker

ICE CREAM FUNDRAISER
SAFE & SACRED

The Diocese of Fort Worth requires all adults who volunteer at our school to satisfactorily pass a criminal background check, complete Safe & Sacred (Safe Environment) training, and agree to the Code of Conduct every three years. Currently the process is done online.

The online program  will end on June 10th. It will be replaced by New, Live Awareness Courses which will be offered in a classroom style setting beginning in September, 2018 and will be required every 2 years.

Everyone who volunteers at the parish or school must have this training. If you plan on volunteering this coming school year for field trips, class parties, Fall Festival, etc. please consider taking the initial class or renewing online by June 10th or you can go to one of the LIVE sessions beginning in September.  (If you have recently renewed online, you do not have to do anything!)

Please email  Lisa Harrington to begin the process.

We appreciate your willingness to volunteer!!

CLASS COORDINATOR
Have you ever wanted to be a room mom or room dad?  We would like to compile a list of willing parents to be  C lassroom Coordinators for the 2018-2019 school year.  The  coordinator s will not be assigned until the beginning of the year.  Please
email Lori Stewart  if you would like more information.

GREAT NEWS!

SAS has collected $41, 500 from the Fund a Project at the auction to replace all of add new interactive whiteboard monitors in the classrooms.  The money earned so far will replace one hallway of classrooms.  The school is stepping up to do the other hallway.  But we still need to replace the 7th and 8th grade classes.

We have a very generous anonymous donor who will give $5000 if we can match this $5000 gift.  Please click here to make a donation or send a check to the office in an envelope marked fund a project. It will be great to install new monitors in every classroom this summer.  THANK YOU  for always being the best of parents and grandparents!

WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR STUDENTS!!

Find out what they accomplished in high school and where they will be going for college. Please take a moment to see the wonderful product SAS produces!  Pictures are also located on the bulletin board in the church, near the entrance to the Parish Hall.

Thanks to Lisa Harrington for all the hard work to display these great graduates.
