News for the Parents of Saint Andrew Catholic School
February 27, 2018
Dear Families,

Yesterday kicked off the annual Stephen Breen Wildcat Challenge Basketball Tournament. This event is special for so many reasons. Firstly, it honors Saint Andrew alum Stephen Breen who proudly played basketball at Saint Andrew. Secondly, all proceeds from this tournament benefit the Stephen Breen Memorial Foundation which provides tuition assistance across the Diocese of Fort Worth as well as other forms of assistance for children with cancer. Thirdly, this tournament brings our Saint Andrew community (as well as our larger Catholic Schools family) together as all schools participate in this event. Fourthly, it's a chance to have fun and watch some 6th and 7th grade basketball and cheer on your Wildcats! It's events like this that make our diocese --- and our school --- so very special. Please make plans to attend! GO WILDCATS!

Only by His Grace,
Veronica D. Tucker

LENTEN DRIVE FOR CATHOLIC CHARITIES
During Lent this year, our students will be holding a Lenten drive for basic household needs for the populations that Catholic Charities fort Worth serve. With the principles of Catholic Social Teaching as its foundation, CCFW helped over 100,000 persons last year.

We hope that all students will be inspired to donate one item each week during Lent to help transform a life. Boxes for donations will be located in the front foyer.

Items Most Needed for:

The KITCHEN (week of February 26th): Hand Sanitizer in full size bottles
The PANTRY (week of March 5th):  Pop-top Cans of Chicken or Tuna & Hearty Soups
The BATHROOM (week of March 19th):  Bath Towels*
The NURSERY (week of March 26th): Onesies*
 *can be gently used items

Thank you for your servant hearts and for responding to God's call to love our neighbors.
