OCTOBER 25, 2016
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Families,

I am very excited to share with you the launching of a new program this week. On Wednesday during our school Mass, Father Tom will bless two new statues, a statue of Rosa Mystica and an Immaculate Heart of Mary statue. These statues have been shared with us by the Lee and Boehmler families. Each week (from a Wednesday to the following Wednesday) two families will have the opportunity to take these statues home and use them as a source of inspiration, prayer and reflection. The bag containing the statue will also have suggested prayers. Many thanks to Mrs. Deb Boehmler, Chair of the Home and School Spiritual Life Committee, for her efforts in making this idea a reality. In this year focused on tradition, I am thrilled to start this new tradition which will hopefully be one full of meaning and faith for each of you.

Only By His Grace,
Veronica Tucker

WEEKLY ROSARY GROUP

Do you arrive at pick up early and sit in your car, killing time?  Come on into the school and join us for the rosary!  It will do your heart and soul good.

We meet every Monday at 2:30pm in the Faculty Room.  No beads required, young kids and babies welcome!

UNIFORM CODE REMINDER

There have been some questions about compliance with the uniform code in regards to hair and highlights. The handbook states that "no unnatural colored hair or excessive styles are allowed". This includes highlights or hair dyed any color other than its natural color. Additionally, "Boys' hair should not fall below the top of the collar nor over the eyebrows and needs to be cut above the ears".

COFFEE & FELLOWSHIP - PREPARING FOR THE LORD'S BIRTH
Please join us for a one time Coffee & Fellowship event on Friday, November 4th at 8:00am in Room 147 of the Parish Hall.  We will be sharing ideas for staying Christ-centered through Advent and the Christmas season.  You are welcome to share activities and traditions from your family or just listen and gather new ideas.  Moms and dads welcome!  Please RSVP by email to Deb Boehmler.

KENDRA SCOTT SAVE THE DATE
This event is hosted by Alison Coffey and Molly Taylor.
WE ARE SO PROUD!!!

Ben Dyer (7th Grade) is a judo player (judoka) and is currently ranked #2 in the nation in his division. Because of his ranking and tournament points, he has been invited to compete on November 11th in the Junior Pan American Championships in the Dominican Republic as part of the junior world team. They only invite 2 judoka from each division so this is very exciting as only 40 kids (ages 12-14) in the US are invited. He will also compete in the Caribbean Junior Judo Open on November 13th.

We invite you to join us in prayer for the success of the retreat, the leadership team and the participants.  The prayer campaign asks that you stop one minute of your day and pray for the Holy Spirit to ignite the faith of those involved in the retreat.

"Come Holy Spirit and ignite the faith of my
brothers and sisters at the Sanctus Retreat.
May the Holy Spirit assist them with greater
understanding of scripture and prayer and
be a companion to them throughout the retreat."     Amen

Everyone is invited to participate in this Retreat Day Prayer Campaign. Please share this opportunity with friends, family, and other parishioners.
