GRAND OPENING OF DISTRICT WELLNESS CENTER 

The Santa Ana Unified School District (SAUSD) celebrated the grand opening of the District's new Wellness Center on Friday, June 15, 2018.
The Wellness Center, located adjacent to Lathrop Intermediate School, will provide SAUSD families with access to health education, social emotional needs, child development, academic expectations, parenting classes, and personal development. The District is collaborating with a variety of organizations that are interested in providing resources that support the community.  
MEET AND GREET ADDRESSES DISTRICT SUCCESSES AND NEEDS 
 
Members of the SAUSD community had an opportunity to learn how the District is preparing students for college and careers with 21 st century skills and the state of district facilities during a Meet and Greet held Thursday, June 14, 2018.
 
After a brief presentation from Superintendent Dr. Stefanie Phillips, members of the community were able to have informal dialogues with members of the SAUSD Board of Education and Administration.
CITY OF SANTA ANA PRESENTS PROCLAMATION TO SAUSD FOR EQUITY IN ARTS LEARNING

The City of Santa Ana recognized the importance and positive impact of arts on the community with a proclamation presented to  
SAUSD for providing equity for all students in arts learning. The proclamation was presented at the June 19, 2018 City Council meeting by Councilman Juan Villegas.

DISTRICT AND CITY JOIN TOGETHER FOR OPENING OF NEW COMMUNITY CENTER

The Santa Ana Unified School District and the City of Santa Ana are collaborating on another project that will benefit the community with the Grand Opening of the Roosevelt/Walker Community Center, located at 816 East Chestnut Avenue, Santa Ana.  "Anytime we can partner with the City and combine our resources, we are stronger and better positioned to provide great programs, facilities, and opportunities for our community," said Valerie Amezcua, President of the Santa Ana Unified School District Board of Education.
