Georgia Geospatial Conference
2016
October 3rd - October 5th

Georgia URISA and GITA Southeast are joining together again for the Georgia Geospatial Conference of 2016 to be held October 3rd - 5th at the Classic Center in downtown Athens.

Participants are welcome from federal, state, local governments; academic; private sector; non-profit and international organizations.

If you are a practitioner, student, or otherwise interested, in the fields of geographic information systems or surveying, please make plans to attend the largest geospatial conference in Georgia.  For three days, you will have the chance to network with peers, share projects and ideas, and learn.

On Monday, October 3rd, there will be several pre-conference workshops.  On October 4th and 5th, you will hear from professionals/students in a variety of GIS fields who will be presenting efficient workflows and useful methodologies. Tuesday night we will also host a social in Downtown Athens. On Wednesday, in addition to breakout sessions, there will be a room dedicated to student day where our future leaders can display research projects and share ideas.

The Georgia Geospatial Conference of 2016 is seeking abstracts for breakout sessions presentations.  Share your work; learn from others.

Presentations will be limited to 30-45 minutes (including time for questions).  All breakout session rooms will be moderated and equipped with wi-fi access, a screen, projector, and cables to plug in presenter's laptop (it is the responsibility of the presenter to verify their laptop's compatibility with provided cables).

All accepted presenters must register and pay the conference registration fee.  Acceptance as a presenter does not register you for the conference - registration fees are required.
