The Board debated at length whether passing a high school assessment should continue to be required to earn a diploma. There was a robust discussion about assessments as exit exams, and the board will continue to discuss this topic at the January meeting in Tumwater. The Board adopted legislative priority to advocate for alternatives for students who are initially unsuccessful at exit exams.
