Columbia, SC (May 19, 2016) - The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is hosting a GIS-focused webinar today at 2:30 pm EST. The IEDC selected South Carolina Power Team's Geographic Information System (GIS) components as a feature for illustrating how  GIS   web-based applications are used in economic development and in the workplace. The Digital Age and Business Attraction with GIS webinar presenters include  Keith Cooke,  Local Government Account Executive for Esri, and Tim Duerr , Director of Research for  South Carolina Power Team.

The web applications' capabilities provide increased flexibility and effectiveness for proposal generation; detailed demographic and socioeconomic custom reporting; and a professional presentation of a community's strongest offerings. The site offers an expansive inventory listing of sites, parks, and buildings available in the state of South Carolina. Its strong SC Data & Reporting, SC Data on Target Industries, Workforce, and Education & Training programs are offered through the SC Power Team's website, free of charge to its stakeholders, allies, and partners.
