2. Check on Fairfax County Public School cable channel 21 on Cox cable.

3. Fairfax County Public School website: www.fcps.edu refer to the Emergency Announcement bulletin.

4.  Check on the South County Church Cares Facebook page for an updated news post.

3. Continue to pray for all those affected by the hurricanes.

Fall Care Groups start the week of October 8th.

Make sure you check out the table in the lobby to sign up for a group. You can also sign up through the app and the website. This Fall all groups are doing Starting Over by Andy Stanley.

Starting Over - We've all had the experience of putting something together only to have to take it apart and start over. That's ok if it's only a gas grill, but it's not okay if it's your life...your career. . .your marriage. . .your dreams. . . How do you break the cycle of mistakes and failed attempts? In this 4-part series, Andy Stanley offers practical advice to ensure that the next time won't be the last time.  Cost is $5 per person.

The ladies will be going through Discerning the Voice of God by Priscilla Shirer on Friday mornings at 10am.

The Ironmen are continuing with 33 the Series on Wednesdays at 6am.

Next week will be the last week to join this session of Experiencing God from 8:45am to 9:45am on Sunday mornings. Cost is $15 for the workbook

The Dove Foundation

It is our job as parents to protect our children. It is so important to do our best to protect what they hear and see. Life gets busy so it nice to have the tools we need to help us. The Dove Foundation is a great place to look to for movie reviews before you allow your children to watch. Each movie that is family friendly is given the Dove Approval seal. Each review gives you a content description so you can make better decisions. You can check it out at http://www.dove.org
