Our school wide virtue this week is:
RESPONSIBILITY

RESPONSIBILITY is being freely accountable for our actions through knowing what’s right and good and striving to do our best.

Each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason to boast with regard to himself alone, and not with regard to someone else; for each will bear his own load. Galatians 6:4

Stations of the Cross will be cancelled tomorrow.
There will be a normal Friday schedule.
SCS is currently participating in a school-wide fundraising project called Pennies for Patients. All money collected will go to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society whose mission is to find a cure for blood related cancers and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Your child was sent home with a coin box !
We are asking students to fill their coin boxes with spare change, dollars or even checks over the next couple of weeks.
We are asking children to send in the money that they collected on FRIDAY MARCH 23!
The homeroom that raises the most money will be awarded a “pasta party” courtesy of the Olive Garden! Thank you for helping us be HEROES and fight blood related cancer!
Mrs. Engler would like to thank our wonderful St. Catherine community for their tremendous support of the book fair. Our book fair was a big success thanks to everyone's help and generosity.

A very special "thank you" to Mrs. Kim Heller and Mrs. Loren Miller who are our "Book Fair Co-Captains." These ladies put in a lot of hours recruiting volunteers, handling advance publicity, setting up the book fair, and actually working every day throughout the week of the fair. Thank you so very much, ladies, for your support and kindness in sharing so much of your time and talent (and treasure) with our students.

We also had many parent volunteers throughout the week who helped our students choose books, worked the registers and helped to keep our fair running smoothly. Thank you, ladies, for all your valuable assistance. The profit from the book fair allows the library to continue to purchase books for all our students to read and enjoy. Thank you so much for your patience and support of our book fair!
K4J (Kids 4 Jesus) Vacation Bible School registration is now OPEN! It is a wonderful half-day Summer Camp that will surround your children with loving faith-filled virtues and activities. Dates will be June 4th, 2018 through June 8th, 2018 . Children entering PreK-4 through 5th grade are invited! And NEW this year, aftercare will be offered!

Our SCS Lenten offering will be participating in Operation Rice Bowl. This is a program through Catholic Relief Services to fight world hunger and educate others on the issue. Each homeroom and Middle School religion class will have a rice bowl that we will work together to fill with a financial offering. We will also follow lesson plans based on a different country struggling with hunger each week. We will finish with the USA. We encourage families to decide to put aside a quarter or some change to donate each time they offer a Lenten sacrifice. This ties our FASTING to our ALMSGIVING and reminds us to PRAY. Let's remind and encourage one another to participate fully and have a holy Lent!
Please join our team SCS Gators when you register online. There is a prize for the elementary school with the most participants.
