St. Catherine of Siena School Board Meeting Summary
Following is a summary of the third meeting of the SCS School Board on Thursday, September 14, 2017.

SUMMARY
Our SCS School Board meeting was held on September 14, 2017. During this meeting we discussed the new Leadership Team at SCS. We were updated on the accreditation process that the school is currently undergoing. We looked at ACT scores and how they are used to identify areas of development for SCS students. Mr. Hill gave an informative presentation on middle school and its new enhancements. With these new improvements, SCS is trying to create a school experience closer to that of high school; this will help our students with an easier transition into high school. We went over finance reports for the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 school years. We heard from Fr. Tim about the facilities enhancements that are completed as well as plans for future enhancements to SCS.

Confetti Egg Stuffing Parties
It’s Confetti Egg Stuffing time! We have 1400+ dozen empty egg shells ready to stuff for the upcoming Parish Fair! We need your help getting them all stuffed before the Fair. Please join us every Tuesday and Thursday morning in the CYO Room immediately following morning drop off. Stay for a little or stay for a lot! We usually stuff eggs for a couple of hours, so you can join us at any time. No experience necessary! We have highly qualified, experienced confetti egg stuffers who can train you. You too can become an expert Confetti Egg Stuffer!

New Moms – don’t be afraid to join us! It’s a great way to meet other moms and get involved in the preparations for the Fair. If you have infants, bring them with you. Little ones are welcome – as long as they don’t smash the eggs! The CYO Room is located on the second floor of the Incarnate Word building. That’s the building to the right of the school office, in between the office and the Barrett Building. Please check in at the front desk and Ms. Debbie will direct you to the room.

We hope to see you on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Questions?? Contact the Confetti Egg Booth Chairs – Karen Reinhardt [email protected] and Mary Hawes [email protected] .
