The Young Women in Art Juried Exhibition provides a venue to recognize exemplary art works of young women in high school, to help students begin to prepare for a major in art, and to introduce them to the Converse College Department of Art and Design and the variety of majors offered to women. The artwork shown is by Sanye Yip, Our Late Supper, SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities. It received the Best in Show Award for YWIA 2016.

Friends of the Petrie School of Music present The Zimmerli Piano Concert featuring Wael Farouk. A Spartanburg favorite since his days as a graduate student at the Petrie School of Music, Egyptian virtuoso Wael Farouk has performed around the world. He gave the Egyptian premieres of the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 3, Brahms Piano Concerto No. 2, and Prokofiev Piano Concertos Nos. 1, 2, and 3, and in 2013 he made his New York solo recital debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Hall.

Arts on Tap is a series of performance events, hosted the second Wednesday of each month, at the Hub City Tap House. Come listen to musical styles ranging from Opera to Pop.

Abbey Elmore delivers a blend of different styles that appeal to a wide range

at various clubs, bars, and festivals throughout the southeast and released 
their first full length record in 2016
