Our Inventors of the Month last month were Dan & Kirsten Garcia the inventors of the
Sipsee Portable Bottle Stopper.
We were delighted to see them return and give us an update. Great new product!

Mark your calendar for this Thursday March 9th!
We welcome special guests;

CEO, Louis Foreman!
Louis Foreman leads the strategic vision for all divisions at Enventys Partners, bringing exceptional expertise around intellectual property, open innovation and entrepreneurship. Over the past 20 years, Louis has created 9 successful start-ups and has been directly responsible for the creation of over 20 others. A prolific inventor, he is the inventor on 10 registered US patents, and his team is responsible for the development and monetization of well over 700 more. Louis served the Bush and Obama Administrations on the Patent Public Advisory Committee and is currently Chairman on the Small Business Administration's SBDC National Advisory Board

Louis Foreman will present "You have a great idea, what's next?"

Let's face it, coming up with Ideas are easy. The difference between a great idea and making money from an idea is the execution! When you have a great idea, you need to determine if it is feasible. So before you quit your job or cash-in the 401k, there are 5 questions you should answer BEFORE you start spending money on your invention.

Joining Louis will be Enventys Partners President Roy Morejon who will speak to the efficacy of crowdfunding as a means to get a new product to market.

This is a special opportunity to hear and meet
these significant members of our inventor community. Come join us this Thursday!

We welcome back serial entrepreneur Josh Rifkin as March Inventor of the Month.
Come see Josh present Scratch N' Squeak Thursday!

SDIF is a fabulous resource for inventors, and it just wouldn't be possible without our sponsors. These are people who are often inventors themselves who provide services to our members. Please check them out below.

A Special note -
Thank you Judy Balian http://excoveries.com/ for the years of help with this newsletter!
You did a great job setting this up on Constant Contact and managing this, we appreciate the time and effort you have given our organization. As Judy says--->
"SDIF - The Place to Be
SDIF monthly meetings are the ideal place to get help on all aspects of inventing as well as make new contacts. Unlike other inventors' organizations, we have no costly annual dues or membership requirements. All you need is a desire to learn about the world of inventing and to network with like-minded people. Whether you're an inventor, innovator or a service provider, SDIF is the place to be the second Thursday of each month!"

Response Expo is back!

We thank Jessica Delich with United Inventors Association of America |  www.uiausa.org

SPECIAL NOTICE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

GOOD NEWS!
Trump in his speech to Congress last Tuesday openly praised inventors and their role in making America great past present and future!

On the other hand did you know about the USPTO's plan to raise fees $710m to pay for more destructive PTAB's?
THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!

The Patent Public Advisory Committee (PPAC) which holds regular public meetings and provides input to the USPTO, the President, and Congress on matters relating to the Patent Office held a public meeting on Thursday March 2nd.
This letter from US Inventor regarding this fee increase and the problems with PTABs was acknowledged as received and will be published on their site.
  Open Letter to the USPTO
Please share to help us raise inventors awareness!

There are still significant issues we face with AIA that need be addressed and amended for America to equal the rights inventors get in China.
China has better patent laws than the USA

Again, it's PTABs that are wiping out small inventors because they favor corporations. This favoritism is wrong and must be stopped.
We American Independent Inventors must stand and demand our rights be  restored. Our nation needs us to create the new ideas and subsequent new jobs to continue to grow and thrive. The present patent laws must be revised to bring back the confidence a patent brings to both the inventor and investor.

As a fellow member of the inventor community, I call upon you to please join me, US Inventors and others in our community create a movement to change the policies that are hurting innovation. Please become aware of these policies by reading up on AIA. The more you learn the better! You can sign up for the US Inventor newsletter here: http://usinventor.us11.list-manage1.com/subscribe?u=4652ed1adc849ad1ecfacfee9&id=a798889f3d

You can read what the patent community is doing and thinking as well as finding lots of tips and information on writing patents here: http://www.ipwatchdog.com/

Once you understand the disastrous policies of the AIA please share this message regularly on your social sites to help spread the word and lift our voices!
 <PLEASE TWITTER the President>
"Save American Inventors, Strong Patents equal a Strong Economy,
Revise the A.I.A.

If you want (and want your kids to be able) to enjoy the American dream of prospering from your own ideas you must act and add your voice.
Tweet. Sign up and comment, sign petitions, join the national groups I have.
Care for your rights before they are gone!

I thank you for your support on this important issue to us all.
All and any support and donations will be greatly appreciated.

Have an inventive day,

Adrian
