Attend SEMAP's 2013 Winter Networking Event at Urban Acres Farm!
Free event! For 2013, SEMAP has partnered with The Carrot Project to increase their programmatic outreach, offering financial opportunities for farms through loan programs specific to Southeastern MA. Executive director, Dorothy Suput will present on programs available to MA farmers, as well as offer free 'Ask the Expert' consultations.
'Ask the Expert' One-on-One Sessions: Do you have questions about your small farm's finances? The Carrot Project is offering time before and during the Networking Meeting to discuss with farmers their farm related financial questions.

As always, the  Annual Winter Networking Meeting is a free event that allows plenty of time for meeting new faces, catching up with old friends and sampling local food!  We will also have an opportunity to hear from Urban Acres Farm staff and president Brad Dean on their exciting new operation.

Over 18 workshops organized into four categories that offer a variety of opportunities to increase your farm and gardening know-how.  

From organic cover crops and soil science to herbal remedies and backyard composting, SEMAP's Agriculture & Food Conference has it all! 
Bring the whole family! The Agriculture & Food Conference even has a Youth Track with workshops geared towards fun and encouraging experiences with vegetable farming and livestock. Beginner farmers and those aspiring to start their own garden or orchard will find information within our Farmer, Public and Organic Tracks including:  Heirloom Apples w/ John Bunker (FEDCO)Permaculture 101, "After the First Year" and Equipment Maintenance workshops.  
Plus, there's the traditional ALL-LOCAL lunch served to all conference attendees!
