Wednesday Warrior

Each Wednesday, SFA selects the story of a sarcoma warrior to feature on our online platforms.

Stories can be about your own experience with cancer, or that of a friend, family member, or loved one.

Sharing your story can be such an inspiration to others who are dealing with sarcoma in their own life and remind us all of the urgency to find better treatments in order to make an impact on the devastation that sarcoma cancer brings. Let your experiences help others become involved with raising awareness.

Thank You, Michigan Chapter!
Bowl for a Cure Cake

Way to go, Michigan Chapter of the Sarcoma Foundation of America, for hosting an amazing bowling event this month!

You have set a great example for each of us who share the goal of finding the cure for this disease.

Thank you once again for your kindness, and for the time and effort that you put into planning the "Bowl for the Cure" event!

Thank You, ZachFest!

The second annual ZachFest was held this month in Manhattan Beach, California. A group of surfers and bodyboarders paid tribute to Zach Solomon who passed away on April 4, 2012, from pleomorphic angiosarcoma. They raised $1,240 by selling ZachFest t-shirts and holding a raffle for surfboards, and wet suits. A larger event, which will entail a surfing competition, is planned for next year.

SFA is able to continue to fund research because of the continued commitment and support of events like this, so a huge thank you to everyone involved with ZachFest.
