Dear South Florida Concierge Association Members,

Hopefully everyone had a safe and productive July. We're now entering the final stretch of summer and our occupancies may be entering their gradual end of season decline. However, this doesn't mean that there is any shortage of activities here in South Florida.

We are encouraging you all to take advantage of this month's newsletter by encouraging your guests and visitors (and yourselves!) to always try new things in our area. Save your "Go To" list for the slow season. Check out this month's news and events and take your renowned concierge expertise to the next level!

Have a magnificent rest of the summer!

Looking for free EXPOSURE?

In an effort to help promote WORTHY events and promotions in our region and to constantly keep our local friends and visitors in the loop, we would like to expose your business or cause on our Facebook Page, Twitter and Wordpress.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

BIG events
- NOT weekly traditions
HUGE deals
- NOT 30% off a scarf or kayak rental
BIG moves
(that your restaurant now features daily live music or a rooftop cocktail lounge with insane views)
- NOT you bought a fryer and now serve french fries

We will only showcase the WORTHY. Please do not spam us with common deals. Having trouble drawing the line? A quick test: Pretend your visiting Miami - would you be irreconcilably compelled to pursue this event or promotion?

E-mail [email protected] with an image, link and brief detail of what the event or promotion is all about.

FEATURED RESTAURANTS

Azzurro
17901 Collins Ave
Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160
(305) 792-5500

I could not be more truthful in this next statement - if I had a nickel every time I heard, "Azzurro was excellent, thank you for the recommendation!", I might not be rich, but I would have a whole lot of nickels. The delicious Italian cuisine coupled with the casual yet intimate atmosphere make Azzurro a must visit in North Miami Beach. Let's also not overlook one other important detail: the price is right!

Toscana Divino
900 South Miami Avenue
Miami, FL 33130
(Mary Brickell Village)
(305) 371-2767

"Toscana Divino features a full-restaurant, presenting both the most contemporary and traditional Tuscan and Italian cuisine, including the world-famous Fiorentina steak. Serving lovingly prepared Florence-style cooking, the menu draws its inspiration from classic dishes, found throughout Tuscany, and features fresh seasonal ingredients from local markets or directly imported from Italy."

Wynwood Kitchen & Bar
2550 NW 2nd Ave
Miami, FL 33127
(305) 722-89590

"Years from now, we'll look back upon Wynwood Kitchen + Bar and recognize this creatively brilliant art-restaurant as a pioneer in what's otherwise become a booming cultural mecca. If all goes well, we won't find Five Guys (I do love a good cheeseburger though) but rather a crop of hyper local businesses that carry the Miami spirit forward." - Yelp.

A perfect blend of innovative Latin influenced cuisine and beautiful art, it's destined to be one of the coolest and most visually striking restaurants in the nation.

Taverna Opa - Mary Brickell Village
11401 NW 12th St
Miami, FL 33172
(305) 513-8388

Previous dining norms are broken, spirits are lifted, with every single broken plate and every single napkin in the air. The marriage of traditional with modern is what Taverna Opa promotes as the most rapidly expanding concept in the U.S.
Join us in welcoming this South Florida favorite to its brand new vacation in downtown Brickell!

Lure (COMING THIS FALL FROM MANHATTAN)
1601 Collins Ave
Miami Beach, FL
(305) 604-1601

Set to open this fall in the Loew's, this restaurant made a big inaugural splash at this year's Taste of the Nation. Chef Josh Capon & restaurateurs John McDonald & Josh Pickard are bringing popular Manhattan seafood, raw bar, sushi bar (& steak) resto to South Beach in a delightfully chic, yacht-type setting.

STORY
136 Collins Ave
Miami Beach, FL 33139
(305) 538-2424

Why would the Miami Heat come here to celebrate after their NBA Championship victory? The short answer: it doesn't get any better. The inside is a harmonic mesh of terraced balconies that all culminate at the central dance floor next to the elevated DJ booth/stage. Relax and chat with friends upstairs at the encircling bar and tables or get down to business on the dance floor. The sound system is amazing. With this venue easily attracting the hottest DJs in the world on a weekly basis, this is your spot for letting loose on the weekend.

Sunset Lounge - Mondrian
1100 West Ave
Miami Beach, FL 33139
(305) 514-1941

"In addition to postcard-perfect views of Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami - and, yes, incredible sunsets - the lounge boasts an encyclopedic menu of Brazilian cachaca cocktails infused with everything from cardamom to lemongrass. Friday nights are most popular, when the DJ gets Latin-groovy and the Bentley-driving set pours in to nibble Kobe beef sliders and order champagne by the bottle."

"I didn't stay at Eden Roc but went to the ELLE spa and was thoroughly impressed. I arrived early to allow time to enjoy the lounge areas. The locker room had both a cold dip and a hot tub as well as sauna, steam room and surround - shower. The spa provides for an enchanting experience with aroma filled hallways, blueberry yogurt pretzels, exotic music and more. The therapists were exceptional." - TripAdvisor.

3) Art Walk
    Wynwood

On the second Saturday of every month, Wynwood shows off with Art Walk. The galleries all stay open late. All of the local food trucks congregate. It's also free. It's a Miami must see and the invitation extends to everybody.

If you feel uncomfortable jumping into a never before visited area for the night, join the 1 Hour Guided Tour for $15 to be chauffeured (on foot) by a Wynwood expert.

4) Haulover Nude Beach

You can see it in their eyes. They walk into the hotel and the first thing you notice is the imprint of socks left on their calves from slaving over their 9 to 5's for the past 8 months. They're ready to take it ALL off. Nude beaches aren't for everyone, but to many, they are a hard to come by commodity (and not too highly publicized). Time to knock this free, once in a lifetime experience off of the bucket list (because you will most likely never work up the courage to do it more than once)!

5) Wynwood Drive-In Movie Theater
 (Opening this Fall)

A mini urban drive-in movie theater is heading to Wynwood.

The theater, to be called Blue Starlight, is expected to open this fall near O Cinema Wynwood. An exact location is not known at this time.

Ticket prices will range from $5-$50, depending on the number of people in the vehicle. Two movies will be played a night and the lot can hold 16 to 25 vehicles in the lot.
