Nonprofit Honors Leaders in the Financial Education Movement
Roland Martin: Urgent Need to Teach Financial Literacy

Washington, D.C. - The Society for Financial Education and Professional Development, Inc. (SFE&PD) will honor top leaders in the financial literacy movement at its 20 th Anniversary and Awards Gala June 26, 2018. The gala, hosted at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. from 6 to 9 p.m., will feature journalist Roland Martin as the keynote speaker. Martin, CEO of Nu Vision Media, Inc. and Host/Managing Editor, TV One, will address the urgent need to teach financial literacy, especially in underserved communities.

“As one of the first nonprofits to teach students financial education, SFE&PD is proud to celebrate colleagues who contribute greatly to the financial literacy cause,” said Theodore “Ted” Daniels, SFE&PD’s Founder and President. SFE&PD will honor organizations and financial education advocates at its awards ceremony. Leadership Awardees include:
