Abstract

Join us as Andy Lapsa Ph.D., shares his experiences operating in a fast paced, high stakes commercial space exploration environment.  His experience being an engineer, team leader and program manager provides a comprehensive perspective on the value of fast development, maturing processes, innovating, and how to leverage information systems.

´╗┐There are many similarities between building rocket engines and software engineering. The 21st century has brought modern technology and innovation allowing his team to leverage services like cloud computing and modern manufacturing to bring clean sheet designs to reality in the race to bring consumers to space!  Come listen as he shares how to accomplish these goals, which historically required large government programs from world superpowers, with relatively small teams.
