The St. Joan of Arc cheerleaders participated in their first competition in over 10 years this past weekend at Cardinal Newman High School.
The girls practiced and gave it their all for their dance, cheers, and
incredible stunt!
Our cheerleaders were able to dance and bond with other squads from around our Diocese.
We could not be more proud
of these girls. Go Gators!
A special thank you to Mrs. Downing for coaching the girls.
Student Dismissal Policy

Early dismissal for students can be very disruptive to the class. Early Dismissals are requested to be scheduled at the beginning of the last period.
No student will be dismissed between 2:00 pm and 2:45 pm.
Please refer to the Parent/Student Handbook, page 15.
Thank you.

AFTERNOON DISMISSAL -SAFETY

Cub Scout Corner
St. Joan of Arc’s Pack 323 Cub Scouts have been keeping busy during the first half of this school year. This past fall, they participated in the annual Scouting for Food event held on the first two Saturdays in November.
Their good turn daily consisted of hanging door hangers with bags on the first Saturday of the event.
The Scouts followed this up by collecting the bags filled with food for the needy one week later.
Scouting for Food started in 1988 as a national Good Turn event, allowing Scouting to do something huge to help America. It has taken place every year and collected millions of pounds of food to help the needy.
In January, Pack 323 Cub Scouts geared up for their annual Pinewood Derby. Pinewood Derby events have been a part of Cub Scouting since 1955. The competition was fierce, the trophies, driver’s licenses, and medals were generous, and our Scouts displayed amazing sportsmanship and demonstrated many aspects of the Scout Law including being friendly, courteous, kind, and of course, cheerful. This month, Pack 323 participated in an Overnight Adventure at Kennedy Space Center. The Scouts and their families enjoyed an
after-hours tour of the facility, met with an astronaut, and slept underneath the Space Shuttle Atlantis. What a wonderful way to generate interest in STEM related academics all while having great fun with friends and family. Way to go Scouts!
