Ergotron iPad Lock Boxes
The Ergotron Lock boxes give SJA the ability to lock, charge and secure
16 iPads at a time.
SJA has deployed lock boxes in most of our classrooms.
 We are in need of three more.
We are asking for your contribution to purchase them.
The price for each one is $ 3,700.00.
 The 2017-2018 goal is to be 1:1 iPads 1st through 8th grade and a class set in the media center. 
With your help, we can achieve this goal. We have the iPad's, we need to lock boxes to securely deploy them.

Dear SJA Parents,

I. 2nd through 8th grade MAP Pilot Testing
Numerous schools in the Diocese of Palm Beach are piloting a test similar to STAR Math and STAR Reading. St. Joan of Arc is piloting MAP on the following dates (this test is untimed):

Homework and quizzes will still be assigned
ON MAP TESTING DAYS. RESULTS WILL BE INTERNAL. THE WINTER AND SPRING TESTS RESULTS WILL BE SHARED WITH PARENTS. 

-Students who finish MAP early, can read their AR book.  Please make sure all students have an AR book on testing days. Students will have until 10/19 to complete their Q1 AR points.

-Wednesday, 10/4 MAP Reading
(starts close to 8:00 am and ends by 9:30 am) 
We will then have a  shortened schedule . MAP is read to 2nd graders. 

-Thursday, 10/5 MAP Language
(starts close to 8:00 am and ends by 9:30 am) 
We will then have a  shortened schedule *2nd grade does not take the MAP Language test.

-Monday, 10/9 MAP Math
(start close to 8:00 am and ends by 9:30 am) 
We will then have a  shortened schedule .   MAP is read to 2nd graders. 

II. Quarter 1
Due to the Pilot MAP testing that we are administering for 2nd through 8th grade, we have decided to   extend Q1 from 10/16 to 10/19 (Q1 dates have already been modified in RenWeb) .
RAPTOR SECURITY SYSTEM

The Diocese of Palm Beach, has implemented this security system to all the schools in our Diocese, for visitors, volunteers and contractors/vendors to utilize.
Parent volunteer should wear BOTH thei r:

1) St. Joan ID badge lanyard and
2) the Raptor system lanyard.

Parent volunteers, visitors and contractors/vendors need to sign-in via Raptor system, located in the main office.
Parents who are volunteering will need their driver’s license.

Parent volunteers must wear the additional lanyard that says “volunteer” attached to the clear sleeve that has his/her Raptor sticker in it when volunteering at the school.
