News from Mrs. Sims

St. Margaret Mary staff and students welcomed Fr. Bill Hammer this week. We are very happy that he has joined our school and parish community!

We are getting ready for our Open House which will take place on Tuesday Oct.  20th . Tours will be given at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. and also at 6:00 p.m.  Prospective parents will tour the facility and receive updated information about our school community and all that we have to offer their children.  It is a wonderful opportunity to promote St. Margaret Mary School and welcome new families.  Please pass the word on to anyone you know who will have a Kindergarten student for the 2016-17 school year.

The Fall Festival is also quickly approaching.  All of the students are excited about the chance to win free dress days and the possibility of me taking a pie to the face!  Please support this great annual event in whatever way that you can.  It is the largest and most loved fundraiser of the year because it focuses on the students spending time with their families and friends.  We need you to support the PTO!

May God Bless You and Your Family,
Wendy Sims

Commitment Sunday - November 7/8

Dear School Families,

Our annual Stewardship campaign will begin on October 24, 2015 and will run for three consecutive Sundays ending on November 7/8. The third Sunday is considered Commitment Sunday where we ask every family to come forward ceremonially and place their commitment cards into an offering basket at all of the weekend Masses.

Stewardship is at the core of who we are as disciples who know, love and serve God.  As Christian stewards, we receive God's gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord. (USCCB)

Please give prayerful consideration of your pledge of time, talent and treasure for 2016. Our new Blue Ribbon status is an attestation of our commitment to excellence in education for our families. With your support we can continue in this wonderful tradition.

As a reminder,  2015 pledges need to be current as of December 14th 2015. If this poses a problem for any family we ask that you contact the Parish Office to see how we can be of any assistance.

In Christ,
Donna Schmidt
Community Director
