On Wednesday, February 1, we invite parents to join your students at the All School Mass that begins at 8:15 am. Open House in the school follows Mass until 10:30 am. Stay tuned for more information on Catholic Schools week (January 30 - February 1).

Fever/Vomit Free Policy

Please do not send a student back to school from an illness until he/she has been at least 24 hours "fever free and vomit free" (with no medication).

No Alcohol Policy at 
Child-Centered Events

Just a friendly reminder, per archdiocesan and parish policies, no alcohol is permitted at child-centered events. Please keep this in mind when planning for events such as the Father/Daughter Dance and the Mom Prom. Failure to adhere to policy could result in the event being cancelled in the future. Thank you for your cooperation.

Stewardship Cards

The parish office is eager to receive your 2017 Stewardship Card. If you are unsure if you have submitted your family's commitment card or need a new one, please contact the parish office at 426-1588.
  
Kids Pulling for Kids
 
As part of the Kindergarten Step-by-Step program, our Kindergartners are collecting pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana. You can help by saving your pull tabs and turning them into a Kindergarten classroom or the school office.
Early Bird Pricing!

Yearbooks will be $32.00 this school year. We are having a pre-sale with special Early Bird Pricing! (This is the first time the yearbooks are being sold. They were not available until right before Christmas.)

The Early Bird Price of $30.00 will be available through Monday, February 6, 2017. If more than one yearbook is purchased, the cost will be $2 8.00 for each additional yearbook. 
 
Starting Tuesday, February 7, 2017, the full price of $32.00 will be charged  and additional yearbooks will be $ 30.00.  
 
Please DO NOT order a yearbook for your 8th grade student; they will automatically receive a yearbook .

DivorceCare for Kids is a special group to help children heal from the hurt caused by the separation or divorce of their parents. At our weekly DC4K group, kids make friends with other kids who understand how they feel and the things they are going through because of the divorce of their parents.  Additionally, DivorceCare for Kids, provides a safe, fun place where your children will learn to understand their feelings, express their emotions appropriately, feel better about themselves and develop coping skills. Re-Enrollment - Current School  Families
Due TODAY - Friday, January 20
To hold a place for your child(ren) currently enrolled at SMM for the 2017-18 school year, all families must complete the online re-enrollment process. The re-enrollment process and $65 payment must be completed by Friday, January 20 to hold a spot for your student(s). Protecting God's Children
Honor Thy Children Training & Background Checks

Volunteers who have contact with children or youth (18 and under) for ANY length of time are required to participate in one of the 2-hour Safe Environment Training Workshops and undergo a background check.  This includes field trip chaperones, room parents, Field Day, Pioneer Day, etc. There is no cost.

SMM Gala Wheel of Chance
Donations Needed!
 
The SMM Gala Committee is looking for donations for our popular Wheel of Chance. We are in need of a variety items of differing values. In the past we have received donated items such as an American Girl Doll, restaurant gift cards of various denominations, car detail gift certificate, Camp Hi-Ho, Yeti Cooler, GoPro, and Apple Watch. Donations are being collected until January 20, 2017.

Girls on the Run Louisville
returning to St. Margaret Mary
 
Girls on the Run is a 10-week after school program for 3rd-5th grade girls that combines physical activity with inspiring, fun lessons that teach girls how to handle the difficult social pressures of adolescence. The season starts on February 20th and ends with the Girls on the Run Spring 5K on May 13 at Bernheim Forest.
 
St. Margaret Mary's practices will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00-4:30 pm. For complete details click here.
