Doors 'n More and Cranes Galore
Time is money – especially in shipping!

There is a reason a saying becomes an old adage – it’s the truth. In our fast paced world of processing, how quickly we can do something, can sometimes be the difference between our customers getting an order or not. At Specialty Metals Processing (SMP) we aim to be your reliable source for all of your coil, sheet and plate processing needs.

Whether you are using your own trucks or a common carrier, we realize how important it is to keep those trucks moving. At our 165,000 square foot facility in northeast Ohio, we take pride in efficiently moving trucks in and out of our facility on a daily basis. How we accomplish this is through a well laid out plant that has many shipping doors, multiple overhead cranes and numerous forklifts. Add in our conscientious shipping personnel, and you have the right formula that keeps your trucks on the move and making money!
SMP Material Coordinator
Dan Olivera is Material Coordinator at Specialty Metals Processing (SMP), and recently celebrated his one year anniversary with the company.  Our customers’ drivers are used to having Dan’s smiling face greet them at our shipping window – gotta have that pick up number! Dan treats the drivers that come to his window with the same high level of customer service that all SMP employees are expected to provide our customers. Anyone involved in shipping and logistics knows that the job comes with pressure filled moments. Good communication and patience go a long way to keeping our customers’ trucks moving.

Dan came to SMP with over six years of shipping and receiving experience, but said he has always held a job since grade school (paperboy) and through high school and college. Dan is a proud graduate of Bowling Green State University.

Dan was born and raised in Canton, Ohio and lives less than two miles from the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He meets up with his parents at least once a week for dinner and still goes over to their house to mow their lawn or shovel their driveway. We’re all hoping for a mild winter this year – especially Dan!
Whether it is coil polishing or buffing, cut-to-length and slitting, or sheet, plate and slab polishing and grinding, the SMP team is ready to serve!
