Important Study on LDL Levels in Patients Over 60
Are statins the answer for everyone?

Since chiropractors have had to deal with the misconceptions of a coincidental relationship between stroke and cervical adjusting, as responsible doctors we need to be aware of possible predictors of strokes. Some health care practitioners believe that everyone should be on Statins and no amount of cholesterol is too low. Many see an increase in LDL versus HDL as a telltale sign that Statins are needed. This extensive study now shows that lowering LDL levels in patients over 60, surprising is associated with increased mortality risk.
