Lincoln Institute of Land Policy
The fellowship program helps to promote international scholarly dialogue on China's urban development and further Lincoln institute's mission to be a leader center for tax and land related policy throughout the world. For more information click here.

Founded in 1964 by Lyndon B. Johnson, the White House Fellows program is one of America's most prestigious programs for leadership and public service. White House Fellowships offer exceptional young men and women first-hand experience working at the highest levels of the federal government.
Selected individuals typically spend a year working as a full-time, paid Fellow to senior White House Staff, Cabinet Secretaries and other top-ranking government officials. Fellows also participate in an education program consisting of round-table discussions with renowned leaders from the private and public sectors, and trips to study U.S. policy in action both domestically and internationally. Fellowships are awarded on a strictly non-partisan basis.

The Office of Student and Leadership

The Office of Student and Leadership is kicking off the recruitment process for the 2017 Orientation Leader position. We are looking for assistance with identifying students that would be good candidates for the OL position. To provide some background, OL's lead groups of about 25-30 new students throughout their orientation day schedule and facilitate activities such as icebreakers and local community tours. Orientation Leaders are on the front line of the New Student Orientation staff. Successful candidates for the position should have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, be a full-time Rutgers University-Newark student and be able to serve as a positive role model for the university. We will host information sessions to provide prospective applicants with more details about the position beginning November 30th. We are currently accepting nominations from faculty and staff.

AmeriCorps, is a community-based, service learning initiative that will recruit, train, and place Members in agencies throughout Middlesex, Bergen, Essex, Union & Monmouth counties, improving the quality of education and community assistance programs. Our positions will allow for students to gain experience in, social work, health education, public health, horticulture, urban planning and other diverse career interests. We are looking for eager candidates who are U.S. Citizens, national or legal permanent residents and are over the age of 18. The benefits of becoming an AmeriCorps member are as follows:

International Visiting Scholars Program
Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) provides opportunities for international scholars in public administration or related fields to pursue their research while in residence at Rutgers. International visiting scholars typically work on projects related to the research interests of SPAA faculty.

Presidential Management Fellows Program (PMF)
Status of 2017 PMF Application and Assessment
The PMF Program Office is presently working on the upcoming PMF Class of 2017 application and assessment. The automated systems will be upgraded to  include the PMF TAS (Talent Acquisition System) and application. 

As details become available, the  Become a PMF 2017 Application section at will be updated to include the the News & Events section. The PMF Program Office  anticipate the 2017 PMF application to launch no earlier than November 2016. In the meantime, please review the Become a PMF section, which describes eligibility (to include topics on citizenship, foreign education, and veterans' preference), application tips, and frequently asked questions.
Scholarship Season
Each year, the School of Public Affairs and Administration offers a variety of scholarships intended to help students pay for their education. We have approached the season for giving and will be rolling out scholarship opportunities soon.
