This session is meant for police commanders and executives who want to take an active role in the development or re-development of their crime analysis capabilities. Many executives come to their positions having “inherited” a crime analysis program started by one of their predecessors, with resources and means of doing business that may have made sense at the time, but no longer fully serve the needs of the agency. This webinar introduces 12 key questions that all executives should ask about their crime analysis programs to ensure that the needs of both the analysts and the agency are being met. Topics include the organizational positioning of the crime analysis function, training and professional development, and better synthesizing analysis and operations.
