Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners will hold a
pre-budget workshop Tues.,
June 6 at 1:30 p.m. in the commission meeting room located at 6495 Caroline Street in Milton. The meeting, which will be streamed live and archived at www.santarosa.fl.gov, offers the board and other constitutional officers an opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues that may impact the upcoming 2017- 2018 budget, which runs on a fiscal year of October 1 to September 30. The budget process also includes the following steps before the fiscal year 2017-2018 budget is finalized and approved by the board:
Tentative budget is due to the board of county commissioners Monday, July 7
Budget workshop with constitutional officers on Tuesday, July 18 at 9 a.m. and board of county commission departments at 1:30 p.m.
The property appraiser mails TRIM, or truth in millage notices, which shows proposed property tax rates to residents on or before Aug. 24
Two public hearings - the first on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. and the final on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m.
