Holiday Closures
Libraries will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, December 25 and 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Saturday With Santa
  • Dec. 2, 10 a.m. at the Pace Library
  • Dec. 9, 10 a.m. at the Milton and Navarre Libraries
  • Dec. 16, 10 a.m. at the Gulf Breeze and Jay Libraries
Santa will take a break from his preparations at the North Pole to visit Santa Rosa County Libraries. You'll be treated to a Christmas story, festive snacks, and a gift from Santa. Bring your camera if you would like a picture taken with Santa. All ages are welcome! Special thanks to area Friends of the Library for sponsoring this visit.

Preschool Storytime
Storytime programs are presented for preschool children ages three through five and include stories, finger plays and action rhymes. Caregivers must remain in the library during storytime; however, they cannot accompany children into the programs. Programs start promptly at the assigned times; latecomers are not admitted.
 
First timer? Visit the library to meet the storytime presenter, pick up a welcome packet, explore the children's area, and enjoy a tour of the library.
 
Storytime will be presented during the following times through December 8:
* 11 - 11:30 a.m. on Mondays at the Jay Library
* 11 - 11:30 a.m. on Tuesdays at the Navarre Library
* 11:15 - 11:45 a.m. on Wednesdays at the Milton Library
* 11:15 - 11:45 a.m. on Wednesdays at the Gulf Breeze Library
* 11 - 11:30 a.m. on Fridays at the Pace Library

Refreshing Reads Book Club - Jay Library - 5259 Booker Ln.
Dec. 5, 3 p.m.
Enjoy an uplifting book club where one can talk about books in a spirit of fun and sharing. Refreshing Reads meets the first Tuesday of every month at the Jay Library. See a staff person to sign up.  This month's title is "I am Half-Sick of Shadows" by Alan Bradley.
 
Book Chat - Pace Library - 4750 Pace Patriot Blvd.
Dec. 6, 4 p.m.  
One of the next best things to reading a good book is chatting about it. Join the conversation at the Pace Library on the first Wednesday of every month at 4 p.m.  This month's selection is "The Whole Town's Talking" by Fannie Flagg. Registration required.
 
Page Turners - Gulf Breeze Library -  1060 Shoreline Dr.
Dec. 8, 10:30 a.m.
The fiction book club meets at 10:30 a.m. on the second Friday of every other month.  This month's selection is "The Existence of Pity" by Jeannie Zokan. There is a limit of 20 participants, so call (850) 981-7323 or visit the library to sign up.
 
The Inklings- Milton Library - 5541 Alabama St.
Dec. 12, 5 p.m.
Sixth through 10th graders are invited to share their ideas about the book of the month. The Inklings Book Club meets the second Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m. at the Milton Library.  This month's selection is "Holes" by Louis Sachar. Speak with a staff member to register.

Friends of the Gulf Breeze Library Board of Director's Meeting - 1060 Shoreline Dr.

Third Fridays with UF/IFAS Extension - Gulf Breeze Library - 1060 Shoreline Dr.
Dec. 15, 10 a.m.
The University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Services presents "Native Trees for Your Landscape" by Mary Derrick, UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County residential horticulture agent, at the Gulf Breeze Library.
 
Game Night - Jay Library - 5259 Booker Ln.
Dec. 19, 3-6 p.m.
Enjoy playing games? Bring games from home or play those provided by the library at 5259 Booker Ln. All ages and game groups are welcome.
 
AniManga Club - Gulf Breeze Library -  1060 Shoreline Dr.
Dec. 19, 4 p.m.
Visit the Gulf Breeze Library on the third Tuesday of each month to learn and share graphic art skills in a fun environment. The AniManga Club is dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of animation, cartooning and related arts. The club is open to youth ages 11 - 17.
 
Graphic Novel Book Club - Milton Library - 5541 Alabama St.
Dec. 19, 5 p.m.
Join fellow graphic novel enthusiasts at the Milton Library on the third Tuesday each month to discuss the book of the month. Members can suggest reading ideas, interests, and discuss the world of the graphic novel.  This month's selection is "The Creeps: Night of the Frankenfrogs" by Chris Schweizer. Call (850) 981-7323 or visit the library to register.

Fiction Fanatics Book Club - Navarre Library - 8484 James M. Harvell Rd.
Dec. 23, 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Join the Fiction Fanatics for stimulating conversations about popular works of fiction, at 11:30 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of every month (except May and November).  This month's selection is "A Baxter Family Christmas" by Karen Kingsbury. Registration required; speak to a staff member to reserve a copy.
