About Santa Rosa County 4-H
4-H is the non-formal educational youth development program of the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) and the Florida Extension Service. 4-H is the nation's largest youth development program, annually reaching approximately 6.5 million young people, and the only one university-based. The purpose of 4-H is to help youth become productive members of society. The educational programs help youth develop inquiring minds, learn practical skills, strengthen decision making abilities, develop youth-adult partnerships, improve communications and interpersonal relationships, and ultimately share their skills and experience in leadership roles. Through hands-on, learn-by-doing activities, youth establish real-life goals and develop important life skills.
If you require any type of accommodation for an event sponsored by the University of Florida, accommodation requests must be made at least 15 working days in advance of the function. Contact Prudence Caskey at (850) 623-3868.
