Santa Rosa plans second Day of Service event on May 6

With more than 700 volunteers working together on 23 community service projects, the first Santa Rosa Day of Service was a resounding success! SAFER Santa Rosa, in partnership with Santa Rosa County, is now planning its second Day of Service for Saturday, May 6 and is looking for sponsors, projects and volunteers.

Submit a project online early for consideration. Ask your employees, co-workers, friends and family to set aside this day to work together to improve your community. Projects may only be submitted by representatives of organizations, not by individuals. Organizations will be matched with any necessary resources - for example, a small business might submit a road clean-up project but need more manpower or a service group might submit a ramp-build project but need materials.

Working together, teams can make a big difference in just one day. Both individual and teams of volunteers may register online to be paired with projects.

Sponsors, both for materials and monetary donations, are needed to fund more resource-intensive projects. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available:
