Ready to cozy into winter with some good books? We turned to Longfellow Books and Royal River Books for recommendations on hot reads from 2016 having to do with sustainability and the outdoors, healthy eating, and mindfulness. 27th Annual Maine Home & Remodeling Show

We're excited to be participating in this year's Maine Home & Remodeling Show at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland. The event features 180+ exhibitors, an Artisan Marketplace; a Meet the Chefs cooking series with Portland area chefs; and a Seminar Series with topics on a variety of home improvement projects. Show times are Saturday, February 18th, 10am-5pm, and Sunday, February 19th, 10am-4pm Admission is $8 for adults; $6 for seniors age 65 and older; $5 for children age 6-16; children younger than age 6 are free. Look for a special SunriseGuide discount coupon in next month's newsletter . Home & business energy fairs

Learn how to save energy dollars while reducing your environmental impact. Local companies and nonprofits will be exhibiting solar energy, heat pumps, pellet boilers, biofuels, energy efficiency, natural gas, green grid power, and more. And we'll be there with books, magazines and the new mobile edition.
