With the generous support of Steamboat Springs taxpayers, improvements will be made to District facilities from May 2018 to October 2018 . 

  • Roofs will be replaced at Steamboat Springs High School (SSHS), Steamboat Springs Middle School (SSMS), Strawberry Park Elementary School, 7th Street District office, and the transportation facility.

  • The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system will be upgraded at SSMS.

  • An existing space within SSMS will be renovated this summer to create four new classrooms that will help relieve overcrowding at the school.

  • Significant improvements will be made to Gardner Field at SSHS.

Where is the District on developing long-term facility solutions? Currently, 32 community volunteers are serving on four advisory committees that are studying our infrastructure, looking at current use and challenges, and aligning the District’s future needs with a professional master-planning process. Gardner Field Closed
Ready. Set. GO!
Gardner Field is closed to the public from May 18 to August 17.

While we upgrade this community asset, public access will be prohibited to guarantee your safety and ensure that construction is completed on time. The facility will re-open to the public at the end of August 2018. Please note that the July soccer tournament is now scheduled to take place on the middle school football field.
