Grandparents and Special Visitors Day
Last Friday was Grandparents and Special Visitors Day at SSSQ. After morning minyan, our visitors were treated to a special presentation by our students in kindergarten - grade 5 featuring songs they learned throughout the year. Our early childhood students also delighted our visitors with songs and art projects. Special thanks to Mrs. Blum, Mr. Kalman, Marilyn, Martin and Sergo for making sure the day was exceptional.
Shorashim Family Shabbat Celebration
The Shorashim children celebrated Shabbat with their families on Friday, June 8th. A standing room only crowd joined together to hear the class recite their morning tefillot, sing songs that they learned for both Jewish and secular holidays in the calendar year, and Shabbat tunes. Then they sat down to a traditional Shabbat snack.

We wish all the boys and girls a fun filled and restful summer vacation. It was a pleasure to spend the school year with the yeladim!

Chesed Day Carnival
This Tuesday, our Seventh grade students went to Schehcter Long Island for a Chesed Day. The students teamed up with children from Vincent Smith School, a school for special needs children. Our students assisted in running the carnival and ensuring that these children had a fun time throughout all of the activities.

Below is a letter written by their Head of School which highlights the impact our students made on this Chesed Day.

Our faculty has not stopped talking about it and are already looking forward to next year. They too had nothing but wonderful things to say about your faculty, staff, and students. The words that kept coming up when describing your students were flexible, understanding, and patient.
Thank you again for making it a wonderful experience.

Head of School
