Be Unique - Be a Leader - Be Aquinas
Knightly News - August 20, 2017
Principal's Post

It’s hard to believe, but school is starting this Tuesday, August 22nd. We held the Freshmen Orientation Dinner and the Middle School dinner this past week. There was much excitement in the air at both of these events. As a 2nd year principal, it was heartwarming to welcome back all of the returning students as well as welcome the new students to Aquinas.

There is much to be excited about this school year. Last week I shared the excitement surrounding our new president and board. This week I want to tell you about the exciting senior class, the Class of 2018. These students are truly amazing. I have gotten to know them over the past year and have been impressed with their leadership, dedication to STA, and how they care for others. I truly look forward to working with them and expanding their leadership role at STA.

In the Gospel today, the Canaanite woman is rewarded for her persistent prayer and her faith in Jesus. She intervened on behalf of her daughter who needed healing. As we start this new school year I ask everyone in the STA community to intervene on behalf of STA and to pray to Jesus like the Canaanite woman; with persistence and with faith that Jesus will answer our prayers. I ask you to pray that Jesus will continue to transform St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Middle School into the school he desires us to become.

Here is a short clip which expounds upon the Gospel story of the faith of the Canaanite woman. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1sZme2wZGc

One more note: I encourage you to join the Knight Nation Athletic Club (KNAC). The KNAC is the official booster club for St. Thomas Aquinas Athletics . Forms with payment are due by August 22nd in order to be included in the fall sports program. Membership forms can be found online or contact Ryan Hill, St. Thomas Aquinas Athletic Director, for more information.

Have a great Aquinas week!

St. Thomas Aquinas, pray for us.

Ways to Support STA
St Thomas Aquinas High School is partnering with Schoola ( www.schoola.com ).

What’s Schoola? It’s a great way to raise funds for our school. Schoola collects pre-loved women's and children’s clothes, preps and sells them online, and gives 40% of the proceeds (minus the cost of inbound shipping) back to St Thomas Aquinas High School to help fund programs for our kids. That’s $2 out of every $5 earned back to our school! Simply click on the image to view our very own Schoola landing page where you can request a bag and view our progress and funds earned

The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to St. Thomas Aquinas High School & Middle School to help fund programs for our students. Every little bit counts, donations quickly add up.

It's easy! Type smile.amazon.com and log into your Amazon.com account. Select St. Thomas Aquinas High School (yes the Middle School benefits too!), Louisville, OH. That's it. Now whenever you make a purchase STA benefits.

Thank you for your support!

Don't forget to forward this to your family and friends! And encourage them to  sign up  to receive their own copy of this email blast.
