Thank you for your dedication and commitment to Virginia Hospital Center. Generous supporters collectively donated more than $5.8 million in 2016, making a lasting and meaningful impact on patient care at Virginia Hospital Center and on the health and well-being of our community.

Your support is being put immediately to use to provide advanced medical treatments that saves lives and improves the quality of life of our patients. Here are just a few examples of how we put your gifts to work in 2016:
  • Increased capacity and upgrades in the Hospital's nationally recognized cardiology program to treat the most serious cardiac illnesses with the most modern medical technologies utilized by highly trained and skilled cardiologists
  • Adding two new state-of-the-art operating rooms to the J. Della Ratta Family Center for Surgery to increase capacity and perform the most complex operations safely and with optimal outcomes
  • Upgrading ultrasound equipment in our Perinatology Department serving expectant mothers with high-risk or complex pregnancies
  • Upgrading our sleep disorders unit to treat a wide range of sleep issues that impact patients' health
  • Upgrading the Calypso System for treating prostate cancer. Described as GPS for the body, this system allows our radiation oncologists to determine the exact position and movement of the prostate during radiation therapy treatment, optimizing radiation targeting and minimizing side effects
