FALL 2016 PRINTMAKING CLASSES begin in September and will be announced shortly. Screen printing, Monotype, Intro to Printmaking, Etching, Lithography, fun daytime workshops and more!
In the Meantime, TAKE THIS CLASS:
_______________________________________________
A Master class with Visiting Artist Holly Greenberg
Associate Professor in Printmaking, Syracuse University
One Night Only: Weds, August 24
6 - 9:30 pm
Cost: $65
please call 773-293-2070 to reserve a spot or register and pay online.

Description:
This workshop shows the novice-to-advanced printmaker tricks in producing multi-layer prints from wood, cardboard, plexi, even paper, without all the tedious carving.  Using wood as our primary substrate, students will use techniques associated with monotype, such as masks, stencils, laser cuts, and off-set printing. The class will work collaboratively to produce a series of prints that can be editioned or one-of-a-kind. These methods can also be successfully combined with other methods such as screenprint, etching, traditional relief, lithography and drawing.

Check out this awesome article by Patty Wetli in  DNAinfo Chicago about the transformation of our printshop and what it looked like beforehand.

CPC is incredibly proud of its teachers and students. Check out this quick, live action video of CPC's very popular etching class starring Duffy and his band of merry printers. Duffy O'Connor's fall, 10-week  etching class will resume in September.

Meet new CPC interns Carl Voss and Robert Rusch. Veteran interns Catherine and Kate seem to have devised a way to break in the new dudes from the comfort of their picnic blanket. Welcome Carl and Robert!
