Are you like so many of us? Do you turn to your
go-to-friend of comfort
(e.g. shopping, shoes, wine, food, sex, mindless TV, gambling, on-line shopping or drugs)? How are your coping skills when "shift" happens? Are you in a vicious cycle of starting and stopping a project or diet? Are you in a vicious cycle of emotional eating or drinking because you feel lonely, hopeless and overwhelmed?
The triggers of vulnerability are feeling
H

ired = H.A.L.T. Stop in the name of love. Stop in the name of your sanity and peace of mind.
HALT...STOP and become aware of your coping pattern of responding to a crisis, afraid to be alone or feeling tired.
Don't get so used to going from crisis to crisis, putting out fires and running around helping everyone else while ignoring your well-being, needs and priorities.
I have discovered that some people get used to dealing with drama and don't even realize there is another way of living. I find that many women are so afraid of being alone so they stay in an abusive or unfulfilling relationship or in a frantic mode of busyiness.
They lose their identity in mothering, fixing, helping friends, family, jobs and lost in duty and obligation to organizations, parents and people pleasing.
Stop in the name of love. Stop in the name of your sanity. Stress kills your faith, confidence and creativity to become a problem solver. Stress kills your confidence to take a leap of faith to get out of a blood sucking job, relationship or project.
Simplify your life.
Fortify your faith and confidence.
Organize your living space.
Realize
where you are sabotaging or hindering your growth. Minimize distractions. Recognize your value, worth, strengths and blessings. Minimize your shortcomings, stress and toxic relationships. Maximize your time and opportunities. Energize your body with sufficient rest, healthy food, and some form of exercise.
Visualize yourself being, doing and having an awesome life. Prepare and
strategize your next move. If you are too scattered, you will miss the importance of the season and make mistakes that could be hard to fix.
Glorify the Lord. Proverbs 3:6 teaches..."In all your ways acknowledge the Lord, and He shall direct your paths."
