Student Senate
Alumni Reunion
For the 50th Anniversary Celebration, all former Student Senate members are invited to join the current Senate on Saturday, June 1 at 12 noon during for an afternoon of dining, socializing, and celebrating. Bring a photo, postcard, or other small memorabilia to add to our time capsule, which will be opened on the 100th anniversary in 2063. $12/person. RSVP using the Alumni Weekend reservation form.

Alumni Reunion
A reunion for ROTC alumni will be held during Alumni Weekend on Saturday, June 1 at 11:00 am in the Ceddia Union Building (CUB). Stop by to meet Lt.Col. Matthew Sober, Class of 1996, the first alumnus to chair the Department of Military Science. Share some of your experiences with cadets as they prepare for their summer 2013 training events. For those of us living in PA, it feels like Spring has finally arrived! It's a

gorgous day in SHIP, and the campus and community is alive with students excited for some good weather. With the nice weather, we know not too far off is Alumni Weekend, May 30 - June 2, 2013!

 

Registration for Alumni Weekend 2013 is available online. Make plans to come back to campus with friends. We hope to see you!

SU Baseball Alumni Reunion
Game Watch and Tailgate *Note change

Due to overwhelming response, the alumni baseball reunion scheduled on Saturday, April 27 will start early with tailgating at 11am, before the 1pm double header against Clarion. (Rain date is Sunday, April 27).

 

Tailgating will start at 11am in the parking lot at the SU Conference Center (#49 on the campus map), a short walk/drive from the baseball field. It's BYOB, and a grill will be available for burgers and dogs.

 

After the game, alumni will meet at Knute's Pub & Grill in Shippensburg (15 W King St.) for food, beverages, and a great time to socialize. Alumni reunion contact is Jason Young '95. RaiderFest 2013
Invitation for All Alumni and their Families

Hosted by APB, all alumni, their families, and friends are invited to RaiderFest 2013 on Saturday, April 27 from 11am - 5pm, held in the Communter Lot (C7) across from the Luhrs Performing Arts Center.

 

Events/Activities include Photos with Big Red, Sand Art, Decorate you own mask, Carnival Food, Carnival Games, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Dunk Tank, Extreme Laser Tag, Tattoos, Face Painting, Zip Line, National Guard Activities, and so much more. Play carnival games and win prizes!  Tickets/punch cards for most activities are $3/students, $5/adults. Carnival food and lunch available for purchase. Lunch is available in the outdoor hockey rink.

Four Golf Outings for Alumni Scheduled

Saturday, May 4: Student Veterans of America 2nd Annual Golf Tournament
The tournament will start at 1pm at Cumberland Valley Golf Course in Carlisle. The benefit outing includes cart, dinner, a silent auction, and several contests. Proceeds benefit the Keystone Wounded Warriors. $40/veteran, $45/student, $50/golfer.

 

Saturday, May 18: 20th Annual Red Raider Golf Classic 
Held at Eagles Crossing in Carlisle, the outing is a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 12:30pm. The cost is $85/player and includes a barbeque dinner after the outing among other items. Registration forms are due by May 3. Come out and support the Red Raider Football program. 

 

Thursday, May 30: 25th Anniversary Alumni Golf Tournament
Tee-off Alumni Weekend with golf at the Carlisle Country Club. Proceeds benefit the SU Scholarship for Outstanding Students and is limited to 96 players, $95/player. This tournament will sell out. Be sure to make your reservations early.

 

Monday, June 10: Jane Goss Memorial Golf Tournament
Held at the Chambersburg Country Club and named in honor of former SU athletics administrator/coach/educator, this event, formerly known as the Lady Raiders Golf Tournament has been the largest fundraiser for women's athletics at Shippensburg. Proceeds from the tournament are used by Lady Raider athletic teams to provide scholarship opportunities and financial support for young women to participate in and gain valuable experience thru athletics.

Red-White Spring Football Game
Red Raider Football, Tailgate, and Alumni Social
The Red Raider Football Red-White Game is set for Saturday, April 13 at 1pm. Admission is FREE, and everyone is encouraged to arrive early and tailgate behind the stadium. POST-GAME ALUMNI RECEPTION: After the game, meet at Knute's Pub and Grill. Please RSVP for the post-game reception by April 10 to RedRaiderFootball@ship.edu.

Thursday Night Football with Coach Mac
Thursday Nights with Coach Mac is back
A 2013 spring edition of Thursday Night Football with Coach Mac, featuring SU head football coach Mark 'Mac' Maciejewski '92/'96M, will be held from 6:30 - 8 pm on April 11 at Knute's Pub and Grill in downtown Shippensburg. Fans and community members will have the opportunity to meet with Coach Mac to discuss the 2013 spring schedule and other topics as defined by the evening.
Naming of the Bartos Child and Family Center
Special Invitation

Please join us as we celebrate the generosity of Bob and Barbara Bartos and Bob's years of service to Shippensburg University. Join us at the Child and Family Center, Grace B. Luhrs Elementary School. Remarks will begin at 4:00pm on Thursday, April 18, and will be followed by a tour of the facility at 4:20pm and reception at 4:30pm. RSVP by Friday, April 12.
