Greetings!
We are excited to be hosting Homecoming 2013 in just two short weeks !
We hope you are able to attend and make plans to join us for a complimentary continental breakfast on Saturday morning, October 26. We are excited to share that Dr. Tony Ceddia, president emeritus, will be the guest speaker at breakfast, sharing his discussion topic: "Humorous Moments of the Presidency."
We then welcome you to bring your own tailgate, or enjoy the tailgate lunch provided for $5/person (children 12 and under are free). There will be inflatables behind the stadium for your enjoyment, as well as a music DJ spinning tunes and announcing door prizes.
And, it's a RED OUT for the football game vs. West Chester. Receive your free SU t-shirt at the stadium entrance (limited quantities).
Additional activities include a cooking class, a wine tasting class, ROTC run, College of Business reunion, SU Marching Band reunion, and a concert at the Luhrs Center. After the game, be sure to join us for the return of the President's Supper from 4-6pm which will be held on the Martin House lawn (Rain location: Tuscarora Rm.). President's Supper is complimentary.
You can make your reservations and purchase tickets in advance. Contact University Relations by phone at (717) 477-1218 or on-line. Tickets will be mailed in advance if time allows. After the deadline, pre-ordered tickets can be picked up at the alumni tailgate tent the day of Homecoming and at the Martin House when arriving for the supper. Please note - A limited number of supper tickets will be available the day of the event. Please preregister if you plan to attend! |

Football Tailgating on the Road
Ship Tailgate Party at Bloomsburg Univ.
Support the Red Raiders and join us for a pre-game tailgate and watch the Red Raiders take on the Bloomsburg Huskies football team at Redman Stadium on Oct. 31. This game will be televised nationally.
Tailgate buffet features white and red chili with toppings, corn bread; hoagies (turkey and cheese, ham and cheese, Italian and veggie) tortilla chips, veggie tray, cookies, soda, water, hot apple cider. Cost is $12 per person for buffet only; $14 per person for buffet and 2 coupons for adult beverage. No charge for children age 10 and under.

The University Store will be open during Homecoming Weekend on Friday, October 25 from 8am - 5pm and Saturday, October 26 from 10am - 6pm in the store and at the stadum. Get your 20% off a single imprinted item shopping discount in the Homecoming brochure, at tailgate, or on-line in the brochure. Printed brochures and on-line information will be available soon. |

Seeking Alumni Award Nominations
Nominations should be received by Nov. 1
The alumni awards program seeks out alumni who have been successful in their field or have made a significant impact through community service or exceptional volunteer service to the university.
Athletic Hall of Fame: In recognition of achievement as a student athlete.
Chapter Leadership: In recognition of the impact on the success of an alumni chapter and their goal of helping to reconnect Shippensburg alumni.
Distinguished Alumni: In recognition of distinguished achievement in one's field of endeavor for the benefit of the community and society.
Exceptional Service: To recognize and thank outstanding persons who have given unselfishly of their time and efforts for the betterment of Shippensburg University.
Humanitarian: In recognition of the direct impact on diversity and cultural experiences of students on campus.
Lifetime Achievement: In recognition of life-long career achievement.
Outstanding Young Alumni: Forty years old or younger in recognition of outstanding achievement in his/her field of endeavor for the benefit of the community and society.
