Counseling Alumni Reunion
50th Anniversary Celebration

Join in the celebration activities on Saturday, April 13 to recognize the 50th Anniversary of the Counseling and College Student Personnel Department. Activities begin with the Shirley Hess Hike for Healing, a 5 mile hike that begins at 10am. Later in the evening, a formal celebration will be held from 5 - 9pm in the SU Conference Center. First SHIP Baby of 2013
To: Matt '99-'10M and Laura Massal Campbell '99
We are excited to welcome the first "Ship" baby of the year to proud parents and alumni Laura and Matt Campbell. Their son Jacob was born at 12:08    a.m. Jan. 1 in Harrisburg Hospital. Laura earned her UG degree in 1999 and Matt earned his UG degree in 1999 and his MBA in 2010. Congratulations and best wishes to the family!
McCune Hall Demolition Begins
Dorms start coming down to make way for new

Demolition of McCune Hall began Tuesday as part of the replacement of all residence halls. Three new halls opened this semester and work is starting on three more to open in Fall 2014. Information on the ribbon-cutting and ground breaking ceremony may be found below.

 

 

IceFest 2013 in Chambersburg
Join the Festivities - SHIP Alumni Hospitality Suite
is this Saturday  

Take the chill off and join your alumni host Lou Minisci '91-'96M and fellow alumni this Saturday, Feb. 2 for complimentary coffee, hot cocoa and cookies while you stroll the streets and view the sparkling ice sculptures during Chambersburg's IceFest. Bring your family to the 1st floor conference room inside the Heritage Center located on the square between 1-2:30pm for a hot beverage and cookie.

Thursday Night Football with Coach Mac
2012 Wrapup Edition to be held January 31

A final 2012 wrapup edition of "Thursday Night Football with Coach Mac," featuring SU head football coach Mark 'Mac' Maciejewski '92-'96M, will be held from 6:30-8 pm on January 31 at Knute's Pub and Grill in downtown Shippensburg.  

 

Fans and community members will have the opportunity to meet with Coach Mac to discuss the 2012 season as well as the excitement of the postseason and the offseason.  

Ribbon-Cutting & Ground Breaking
Student Housing Ceremony

President Bill Ruud, SU Student Services, Inc., and the Design-Development Team of Campus Apartments, LLC invite you to the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the completion of phase 1 of student housing that includes McLean Hall II, Presidents Hall, and Seavers Hall.

  

Ribbon-cutting will take place on Friday, February 1 at 4:00pm at the South/West Archway at Presidents Hall (side facing Reed Operations Center and Harley Hall). The inclement weather location will be the multipurpose room in Presidents Hall. The ground breaking ceremony for phase 2 of student housing will be held immediately following. RSVP to join us.

Hoop for a Cure Basketball Game
SHIP Basketball to "Play 4 Kay" and "Hoop for a Cure"
Wear pink to the Feb. 16 "Hoop for a Cure" Basketball game and get free admission. Special activities during the game include give-aways, t-shirt toss, face painting, contests, and a silent auction.
  
The Raider squads will be raising funds for breast cancer awareness/research and will also hold its annual alumni games. Women play at 1pm, men at 3pm inside Heiges Field House.
