Impressive Alumnae Presence at SUA Career Fair
A special thank you to the amazing alumnae who gave their time and talent at the Career Fair. We had over 50 different careers represented, 21 of them by alumnae! Students perused the gym floor and stopped to ask questions. An SUA parent sent the following e-mail after the event: "...I wanted to let you know that she has found something she is really interested in...Music Therapy!!!  It peaked her interest when Ms. Backherm's made the suggestion, but when two SUA alums came to the career fair who are currently Music Therapists, she was ecstatic!" We hope more of you can join this neat event next year, or take advantage of the many opportunities to visit a classroom and share your career and life experiences with our students. For a list of opportunities, click HERE.

Students Raise $34,411 for the SUA Walk Scholarship Fund
Tradition continued last Friday as students enjoyed the annual field day and SUA Scholarship Walk. The rain washed away our Walk plans so instead, we turned the gym into a movie theater and the students watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, a great ending to their "Willy Wonka" themed Spirit Week festivities. Congratulations to the students who raised $34,411 for the SUA Walk Scholarship Fund, The Walk Scholarship Fund is the 2nd biggest expendable scholarship fund at SUA, which means every dollar raised will be used on financial assistance next year.
