SUMA members are now automatically Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) compliant
We've simplified the CFTA compliance process further and made it easier to save with SUMAdvantage!

You no longer need to post a declaration of intent letter on SaskTenders to participate in the SUMAdvantage buying program. Before, members needed to post the letter to meet CFTA regulations. But recently, we requested permission to post the document on your behalf, and our request was granted. We have now posted a letter that covers all member municipalities!

This means saving with SUMAdvantage is now as easy as picking the products and services your municipality needs from our list of partners.
The City of North Battleford:
Community safety strategy with ATS solar outdoor lighting

In an effort to prevent and suppress crime in the downtown core, the City of North Battleford opted to install two types of outdoor LED solar lights. By increasing the amount of lighting and enhancing the overall downtown aesthetic, the City looked to encourage residents downtown while deterring criminal activity
The City is extremely pleased with the outcome of the outdoor lighting project. Many of the residents are in favour of solar energy and are excited to see the technology used on their streets. The long-term cost savings for municipalities utilizing solar technology can be substantial. On average, solar lights cost about 50 per cent less to run than wired lighting.
