SUMMER MOVIE NIGHT SERIES CONCLUDES

TOMORROW WITH SCREENING OF

"MANDELA: LONG WALK TO FREEDOM"

BROOKLYN, NY:  Tomorrow, August 26, Council Member  Jumaane D. Williams (D-Brooklyn), Deputy Leader, will cohost the closing of the second annual "Summer Movie  Night Series" with caribBEING, Citizens Committee For NYC and Sesame Flyers on the lawn of the The West Quad Center of Brooklyn College at 2900 Bedford Avenue starting at 6:30 P.M. 

 

Tuesday's event will be the last of this year's Summer Movie Night Series, and will feature "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom." The event will open up with Hasidim, Jamaican, and South African music, and just prior to the screening, a short film will be featured titled "Project 2X1," a Google Glass documentary exploring the distinct cultures of the Hasidic and West Indian communities living side by side in the 2 mile x 1 mile area of Crown Heights.
