SUS has recently added two new members to the Board of Directors: Tony Lemma and Jennifer Press. Lemma, Home Depot's Regional Vice President for the New York Metro Region, Northern Division, leads operations of over 70 stores in New York City, Long Island, Connecticut and New Jersey. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Lemma accepted an honor on behalf of Home Depot from SUS in 2013 in recognition of Home Depot's commitment to supporting veterans. Press, freelance writer and former fashion/lifestyle reporter and producer, is also a Founding Member of Women for SUS, a new affiliate group that unites established and emerging business leaders to support SUS' philanthropic efforts. We welcome our new members to SUS' leadership and look forward to working with them in the years ahead.

Please join us as we celebrate the first anniversary of Parachute NYC, a citywide initiative which provides options for young adults experiencing emotional and mental health concerns. The celebration will be held at SUS' Brooklyn Crisis Respite Center, a program of the initiative, on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, 3-6pm. Attendees will enjoy food and music, and will have the opportunity to speak with Parachute staff about the pilot project's progress and achievements over the last year. Join us as we celebrate Volunteer Month and Earth Day. Volunteers will build an arbor and fence at one of SUS' urban farms. We will also prepare raised beds for the 2014 growing season and add nutrients to the farm's soil.
