Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) Fair
Join us Dec. 2!

Is Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) a goal for you and your program? Are you ready to begin the process of applying for SUTQ, but aren't sure where to start? Or have you started the process but find the amount of information overwhelming? 4C for Children can help!

4C will host a SUTQ Fair in conjunction with Ohio Job and Family Services (ODJFS) on Dec. 2 from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at our Sherman Ave. training rooms. The event will offer plenty of information from representatives from the presenting agencies. You'll also receive one hour Ohio Approved (OA) training and be able to tap into a variety of resources for center-based and family child care programs.

Please join us by registering at http://4cforchildren.org/SUTQFairSWO.

The Importance of Reading Aloud
Resources for your program and for families

We all know that reading aloud to children is one of the most important things teachers and parents can do. As teachers, we see every day the value of reading to young children both individually and in group settings. Check out the following resources to learn more about the importance of early literacy as well as to get booklists and ideas for the classroom and for parents.

You're invited to attend the free Regional Early Learning Leaders Forum on Nov. 30 from 8:30-11 a.m. at Sinclair Community College in Mason. The Southwest Ohio Early Learning Leaders (SWELL) and United Way Success By 6 have planned this two-hour forum for early childhood and kindergarten administrators and teachers. Hear presenters from the University of Toledo, the Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities and the City of Hamilton School District speak on the topic of supports for children with special needs in inclusive settings.
