"In a program of serial high points, there were too many to mention...an intriguing and hugely enjoyable evening in every way ..."

-The Washington Post

Greetings!

It has been a great recent tour for SYBARITE5 having sold out three shows in the past week across Iowa and Kansas. The group packed houses with exciting performances of works both old and new from Dvorak to Arcade Fire and Mozart to Radiohead. They just finished their New Music Idol residency project at Luther College, an ongoing program featuring the works of composition students in conjunction with college music and composition departments, and look forward to debuts next month at Cliburn Concerts in Fort Worth, TX and The Harriman-Jewell Series in Kansas City, KS.

Looking ahead be sure to catch the group's presentation at the UP NEXT! Artist Pitch Session at APAP on January 9, 2015 at 1:30pm where they will introduce their newest project, Look Back / Move Forward. And remember, the group is currently eligible for 2015-2016 fee support through Mid-Atlantic Tours.

If you join the growing list of SYBARITE5 presenters, you're bound to share the feelings of one of last week's sold-out-concert presenters: "Awesome! They were phenomenal! They got a standing ovation and our students LOVED them!!"

Best,

All at FSA

P.S. Sticking around after APAP? You can also see SYBARITE5 at Subculture New York on January 18, 2015 at 7:30pm.

UP NEXT! Artist Pitch Session at APAP
January 9, 2015 @ 1:30pm

This year at APAP in New York City, ten artists have been invited to participate in the UP NEXT! Artist Pitch Session on January 9 at 1:30pm (Hilton Midtown NYC). The session will be moderated by Mike Orlove, Director of Presenting and Artist Communities at the NEA.

SYBARITE5 will pitch their innovative new program, LOOK BACK / MOVE FORWARD. Inspired by the suites of J.S Bach, Look Back/Move Forward assembles new suites for today. The centerpiece is a suite pulsing with energy and life commissioned by SYBARITE5 from six different composers, each asked to contribute one movement: Daniel Bernhard Roumain, Kenji Bunch, Mohammed Fairouz, Lev Zhurbin, Eric Byers and Michi Wiankco. The group's favorite custom made suites--Radiohead transcriptions, Piazzola tangos and new works--round out this eclectic mix.
