GOOD MORNING - 

In the year 1990 the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hit the BIG time for our buddy Kevin Eastman. With his porn stash and mullet, TMNT became a household name. In comics that year was Elektra Lives Again by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley, Spider-Man #1 by Todd McFarlane and many others of note. The 90's were alive and kicking with colorful variants and, wait for it...overprinting comics to ensure an entire generation that their awesome collectibles will be worthless forever.

As I write this, I have a full con hangover from Long Beach this weekend. It was a blast and thanks to everyone that bought a "Guardians of LA' Tee in support of the best shop in the galaxy! If you didn't attend the show we still have lots of t-shirts left over, so come get you geek wardrobe from Golden Apple.

As for in-store event, I've added another event on my Birthday OCTOBER 8TH: 

10AM - DONUTS & COFFEE W/ ROBERTO AGUIRRE-SACASA for the newest Issue #1 release from Archie Comics:  THE CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA!

If you are a fan of his "Afterlife with Archie" series, you will love this even more.

Then at 6pm, it's my Birthday party....BURLEYMAN STYLE

Lastly, I'm gonna end on a few personal notes. This week has had it's ups and downs but my faith in humanity has been FULLY restored. 

I witnessed the true character of some our staff, customers and the LA paramedics that came to the aide of a customer in need. I'd like to send well wishes to her family for a speedy recovery and a TON of gratitude for everyone that helped and did everything they could to ensure her safety and well being.  Sorry to be so vague, but I want to respect her privacy yet acknowledge everyone that helped that day.

Also, my wonderful Mom has successfully "Kicked Caner in the Ass!!" (her words) Lol). She received her last radiation treatment, was given a certificate and a clean bill of heath from the doctors. I am amazed at modern medicine treatments and I have hope for my family to live longer and better lives just like the Golden Mom  "DOBA' (her nickname)
