Life Reflection and Meaning-Making in the Second Half of Life...   An Expressive Arts Sampler
with Julia Balzer Riley, CSL - facilitator

Tuesday, August 22, 2017
5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (USA & Canada)
     (4 pm Central/ 3 pm Mountain/ 2 pm Pacific)
(for other global time zones, request by email)

Welcome to a summertime explosion of Sage-ing energy that will get your creative juices flowing...!
Join us to explore creative ways to examine your life and prepare for your own personal  "what's next?"

Have some
paper, crayons or colored markers, and a pen on hand
and let the magic begin. No artistic skills needed. Of this work a client said, "You don't have to be an artist but will find you are one!"

In this webinar you will:  Practice using art in surprising ways, discover music to help you sleep, cope with stress, and manage pain, and experiment with delightfully simple poetry for contemplating your legacy, with a touch of whimsy.

We will open the Webinar  with a simple breathing exercise to center and be present for ourselves, then  experiment with creative expression as another contemplative practice along our Sage-ing journey. Using your supplies you will have time to practice creative expression for self-discovery. Sign up for the Green Room afterward,  and share your art and your experience if you choose.

Facilitated by: JULIA RILEY, an expressive arts practitioner, holistic nurse, and faculty for Sage-ing International's Certified Sage-ing® Leader (CSL) program. Julia teaches "Expressive Arts in Healing: Health Promotion Through the Arts" at the University of Tampa, Florida.  She has facilitated expressive arts in hospice settings, and is author of a guidebook for wellness and self-discovery, "Art in Small Spaces: Art at the Bedside."
Julia is a Registered Expressive Arts Consultant and Educator through the International Expressive Art Therapy Association.

observations.
