LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORTATION GROWTH 
The LaFontaine Automotive Group  recently invested $1.26 million in a Frankenmuth facility and is now constructing a new dealership in Birch Run Village n ear the Birch Run Expo Center with exposure to I-75. The company expects to invest nearly $6 million and plans to hire upwards of 100 new employees to start. SFI connected LaFontaine with local contractors, Consumers Energy for energy efficiency incentives and Delta College and MI Works for auto technicians. 

Winzer Corporation is a distributor of industrial and automotive maintenance repair supplies and located in the Buena Vista Township Commerce Centre Industrial Park in 2006. Winzer is expanding and adding nearly 50,000 sq. ft., retaining 25 jobs and creating five jobs, and is expected to result in $2.5 million invested. Building owner - BV Spec, LLC, was also assisted by SFI and the Downtown Development Authority in securing additional property for the new construction. 

LB Transportation and Omni Warehouse

LB Transportation and Omni Warehouse is a distribution, assembly and kitting company that outgrew its City of Zilwaukee location. In order to continue growth, available space was found at the former Nash Finch building in Bridgeport Charter Township. The facility will accommodate current operations and allows for future expansion and adding manufacturing capabilities. Real property improvements of $300,000 were needed for manufacturing upgrades and 30 new jobs are expected to be created.

NEW INVESTMENT IN BUSINESS SERVICES & SMALL BUSINESS
Frankenmuth Farmers Market has been successfully operating in downtown Frankenmuth for the past 10 years and recently purchased two acres of land at 544 N. Main St. Plans call for a permanent structure that will offer year round use. Total project investment is expected to exceed $2.1 million and create three jobs. Several local foundations, lenders, businesses, civic organizations and individuals are donated funds to support development.  
R&M Machine Tool, Inc.  is a complete machine shop specializing in precision manufactured parts, production and prototype tooling in Tittabawassee Township. The company invested $50,000 in new CNC equipment that will lead to the creation of up to four jobs. SFI has assisted R&M  Machine with several tax incentives and it was recently recognized as a Best MichBusiness 2015 winner.
Kapex Manufacturing, LLC consolidated another location in Saginaw Charter Township, is upgrading CNC systems, purchasing a larger CNC machine, and adding employees. Kapex designs and manufactures equipment for plastics, food, and energetic material industries. SFI provided PTAC assistance and facilitated a Skilled Trades Training Fund grant through the Great Lakes Bay Michigan Works!
Morley Companies, Inc.  invested $700,000 and created 473 jobs at its two Saginaw Charter Township locations. Morley continues to add new customers in health care, insurance, auto and other industries that have helped it to diversify and grow at a rapid pace. Since 2001, Morley has invested nearly $17.5 million and created over 900 new jobs.  
Access Business Solution Center  is a new downtown Saginaw business incubator located on the fifth floor of the Commerce Center (301 E. Genesee). The Solution Center has five fully furnished offices and five cubicles, a business and conference lounge, kitchen, handicap-accessible bathrooms and a lobby attendant. Services offered include a business profile, business coaching and more.
Rock Your Locks  is a full service salon spa owned by Janey Cascaddan and Kelsie Beyer. The Spa is locating in the former Pankonin Drug Store on the corner of Court St. and Michigan Ave. in Old Town Saginaw. SFI assisted the company with site location and a Saginaw Economic Development Corporation loan. Rock Your Locks has a staff of nine and will add six employees.

Fischer Family Funeral Services purchased the McIntyre Funeral Home located on 504 N. Michigan Ave. in the City of Saginaw. Originally from Saginaw, the Fischer Family was operating funeral homes in Illinois and saw an opportunity to move back to Saginaw. The facility acquisition is expected to create three jobs. Saginaw Future assisted the company and the community with a SEDC loan.
Bibbs Designs/All Night Affair  are new companies launched by Shontaye and Desmond Bibbs and are located at 318 S. Hamilton St. in Old Town Saginaw. Bibbs Designs provides the design and production of invitations and office related items, and All Night Affair offers upscale luxury busing. The companies are co-located and are expected to create six new jobs, with an investment of $100,000.
